A visit to the Captains Mansion
On a warm spring day in April, we loaded up the knotmobile and drove over the bridge and up the hill to the Captains Mansion in Mystic. The Captain's Mansion is a boutique hotel overlooking downtown Mystic. Away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, it is a peaceful, romantic getaway destination.
Captain Spicer built the mansion in 1853, sparing no expense to include stained-glass windows, hand-carved wood finishes, and gold-painted murals.
